Classic
Wednesdays
7pm-10pm
Our regular Wednesday night session. Every Wednesday, 7 – 10 pm unless Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year, or New Year’s Eve is on a Wednesday.
Draw from a live nude model, break for refreshments.
The schedule of poses on Wednesday nights is as follows:
five two minute gestures
five one minute gestures
and five 30 second gestures
one 10 minute pose
one 20 minute pose
a 20 minute break for the model
one 30 minute pose
and one 60 minute pose
Doors open at approximately 6:45. Come and go as you like. One fee covers whatever part of the night you attend. Work on whatever pleases you. This is a self-instructional group.
Sunday Long Pose
12pm-3pm
Long Pose drawing sessions consist of 1 pose, with breaks for the model, for the entire 3 hr session. Long Pose (clothed) sessions are usually on the 2nd Sunday of the month.
Themed Costume

First Sunday of the month, 12 – 3 pm unless the 1st Sunday is on a holiday weekend, or we have a conflict. Check our calendar for the exact date.
Come early, the doors open at approximately 11:45 pm. Pay and sign-in on entry. Help set up and claim your spot. The model starts promptly at 12:00 pm. A reminder: take care not to block your neighbor’s view.
Schedule of Poses:
The session consists of three 10 minute poses and a long pose that’s at least an hour for the remainder 3 hr session. We break during the last pose to let the model stretch.
Stay until closing… At 3:00 pm we begin cleaning and packing up. If everyone helps, we can finish by 3:15.Come and go as you like. One fee covers whatever part of the night you attend. Work on whatever pleases you. This is a self-instructional group.
Portrait Group

Christine Patsos hosts a Portrait Group that meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month, now part of OFD’s $10 Thursdays. All are welcome to attend.

Still Life
$10 Thursdays
7pm-9pm
Join Taylor for an evening of observational drawing centered around a thoughtfully arranged still life. Work at your own pace, experiment with materials and composition, and spend time looking closely at the objects in front of you.
Speed Drawing
$10 Friday
7pm-9pm
Speed drawing trains participants to capture the character of their partner. It is a new networking event for artists in the community.
As participants check in, they choose desks. Two people site at opposite sides of the desk. At 7 pm, anyone who doesn’t have a partner will be assigned one by the host.
Once the session begins, half the artists draw the person across the table from them, and half pose for 10 or 20 minutes. They are encouraged to get to know each other in the process. When the the time is up, partners will switch who draws and who poses.
When both people have drawn, one artist moves to the right, and one stays where they are.
Think of “Speed Dating” and you’ll get an idea of where the name comes from.
