New Website!

Hello world, it’s Laura. It’s looking a little different around here.

I’m very excited to launch this new Open Figure Drawing website!! It’s been in the works for a while and I’m very excited to finally have it live.

Our old website served us well. Our wonderful artist and board member Dan Shanahan has been carefully updating the website by hand all of these years - thank you Dan! - but we have never been a fully digital group because we prefer in person connection. With this update, we can reach more of our community and make it easier for us to connect online.

The new openfiguredrawing.com is designed to make it easier to find what’s happening, discover upcoming events, learn more about our organization, and support OFD through donations. We’ve also made it much easier for our volunteers to update, which means we can share new sessions, events, announcements, and changes more quickly.

A lot has changed about how we find and share information since our original website was built. Today, people might discover us through Instagram, see an event shared by a friend, or pull up our schedule on their phone five minutes before heading out the door. We wanted a website that worked alongside those platforms while still giving OFD a home of its own.

The new site simply gives us a better place to share what our community is already doing and hopefully makes it a little easier for new people to find us and join in.
