Open Figure Drawing, Inc. is preparing for it's 20th anniversary!

To celebrate we're giving away all the money we've saved up over the years in our Poster Contest! Just like our drawing sessions, the contest is open to everyone. Submit your designs online, by , or bring your posters to our Wednesday night drawing sessions for photographing (be prepared to leave them with us for a week).

Purpose

The posters will be used as advertisements for Open Figure Drawing, Inc.

No Fee!

The competition is free and open to anyone in the world who wants to enter. This is one of the only contests to be giving away prize money with no entry fee!

Poster Content

Requirements:

Entries should be roughly in the same proportions as 8 1/2" x 11" letter size paper.

You must include the following text, depending on which category your poster is for. You may arrange the text as you feel appropriate.

Some of the artwork on our website can be used in poster submissions.

Suggestions:

Please consider that images with certain types of nudity cannot be widely used as advertisements. Abstraction as well as conveniently located objects or cropping are appreciated. You never know what people will find offensive. That said, you can include any whatever of images you like in your submissions, because we don't know what people will find offensive either.

Deadline

Get your posters to us by April 1st, 2009 (changed from January 14th). Winning entries will be announced within 2 weeks.

Agreement

All entrants agree that any image they submit to OFD Inc. may be used for marketing and promotional purposes directly related to OFD Inc. purposes. This use may include publication in any OFD Inc. publications, printed materials, advertisements, or electronic media, including but not limited to the OFD Inc. web site. Any image used by OFD Inc. shall carry a credit line of the artist(s). Copyright and all other rights remain that of the artist(s). The winning images will be reproduced in black and white as well as color. Winners will be asked to supply a high resolution digital image or the original for scanning purposes.
