Drawing in Nature
Artists and a Model
Challenging the Elements

Sunday July 26, 2009 2-5 pm

Rain Date: August 2

Located between Cazenovia and Manlius – if you plan to attend, pick up a map* at any Wednesday night drawing session

Drawing in Nature explores figure drawing in an outdoor setting. Drawing outside, we face a myriad of challenges: changing light, wind, the threat from insects, etc. Our drawing site is a wooded spot with gardens and fields. Bring a blanket and your favorite materials. We'll provide sunscreen, insect repellent, clips to hold work, easels and drawing boards. We'll also picnic with the usual snacks provided at OFD Wednesday night sessions. We hope to experience the romantic impressionistic ideal of communing with nature while engaged in artistic activity in a wooded setting.

All Open Figure Drawing Participants Are Invited. As with the Wednesday sessions at the Westcott Community Center, participants under 18 need to provide parental permission.

Registration: To register your space and easel contact Iver Johnsonor  stop into any Wednesday OFD session at the Westcott Community Center & sign up.

Rules and prices for Wednesday night drawing sessions apply.
